How to drop the morning pep talk?
Have you ever wondered why some people can just get up in the morning and you have to give yourself a pep talk? Poor sleep, waking up tired, bloated tummy, always tired, low motivation, short fuse, don't feel yourself, stubborn weight, feel puffy? These are real symptoms and it may be the case that they have snuck up on you and you didn't even realise it.
Our busy lifestyles are partly responsible. The attitude of 'it's not going to kill me in the next week, so I won't address it now, I'll just wait and see what happens' is becoming more commonplace. The trouble is that the 'wait and see' period is getting longer and longer and the insidious negative effects are getting worse and worse. I googled 'why do I have a bloated tummy' and found more than 30 (I stopped at 30......) pages of answers to your stomach issues!! Which one is correct? Believe me the answers varied dramatically and they all were the answer to your problem and some may even cause undue alarm.
I am on Week 4, Day 4 of an integrated detoxification program and all of the symptoms in the first sentence have been addressed, I've had improvements and have even eliminated some. By Week 1, Day 4 I had already noticed I wasn't needing to give myself a pep talk before rolling out of bed. I'm not saying that a detox is a 'cure all', however it is a really good place to start if you have numerous issues that don't point to one particular root cause.
Our bodies have unique ways of communicating with us and giving us symptoms is a clever way of doing this. Consider a detox like a present to your organs or like having the gold standard service done on your car or getting some BALANCE back in your life. There are many lengths and types of programs, however the type you find advertised in the rest rooms or on the shelf at the health food store are usually short, not comprehensive or considerate of your insides... A detox guided by a health professional will eliminate nasty side effects and have enhanced results.
Spring is a great time to consider your options - are you going to continue to do the same thing over and over and expect to feel different (giving the same pep talk gets tired and less effective)? Or are you going to give yourself the gift of better restful sleep, more energy, shed a couple of kilos, balance your mood, reduce bloating and get motivated?
